Did she really do that? You, betcha, she did. Hello and welcome to another episode of you, betcha, she Did. The podcasts were female entrepreneurs, changemakers and leaders, especially from the great Midwest, share their wit and wisdom. I'm your host, rainer Rikiki, and guess what guys? This is our 75th episode. 75 episodes, seriously, that is amazing.
Speaker 1:I started this podcast almost two years ago and I remember thinking even 50 episodes seemed far away, and here we are at our 75th. I also wanted to share. I was really nervous about starting this podcast. You, betcha, she did. I don't know.
Speaker 1:There's something about putting yourself out there that makes you feel vulnerable and you're just not sure how it's going to go, but I am so glad that I have. I'm so glad that you're here, too, following along through this journey. Together, we have been able to lift women up, get them attention for the great work they're doing, especially women in the Midwest, and I want to thank you for being part of that. Please continue to be part of the journey. Please continue to share this podcast with your friends and family and coworkers and anyone who will benefit from it. Speaking of that, as we are now at our 75th episode this next month or so, I am putting a contest together, and in this contest, I am focusing on increasing the positive reviews that you betcha she did has on podcast hosting sites such as iTunes, spotify and so on.
Speaker 1:You might be asking why does that matter? Well, it does matter, and here's why. When people are looking for a new podcast, reviews are one of the first things they look at to see if they want to follow and listen along. So the more positive reviews you have, the more exposure you're going to get in the podcasting world and the more likely it is that someone is going to want to tune in and listen. So I need your help this next month to increase the written reviews we have for you, betcha she did so. In order to do that, go to wherever you listen to you, betcha, she did scroll to the bottom and look for the part where you can write a written review and tell me you know, in a couple sentences, why you like listening to you, betcha, she did. What is it that you get out of it? I mean, I'm hoping that you're getting inspired.
Speaker 1:You found some tactics, some tricks. Hopefully you were able to connect with a guest, maybe there was something funny you liked that you can relate to, but write that. Write that in the reviews, and if you do that, you will be entered into a contest. So here's how it works Write a written review, take a screenshot of it and send that to me, either through email. You can email it to me at you, betcha, she did at gmailcom or you could DM it to me on Instagram or LinkedIn. I'm in all those places and here's what you could win. So there's a couple choices.
Speaker 1:My goal is to get at least 50 positive written reviews by March 8. The reason I'm choosing March 8, does anybody know Is because March 8 is International Women's Day, and why not celebrate on that day? Granted, we should celebrate every day, because women were pretty badass and we're pretty rad, but by March 8, we want to get 50 positive written reviews, and if you do and you send me that screenshot, you will be entered into a contest and there'll be two winners. You could either choose to get free ads on you betcha she did including social media for your business or a business that you love. So this is your chance to promote another business that you love, get it out there, get it to a wide audience. So that's one of the things you could win. The other thing you could win is your chance to make a dedication to your favorite woman out there. So we'll get together and I'll have you record something and I'm going to play that in one of the April episodes. So again, you could win free ads for your own business or a business that you love for a whole month on all the you betcha she did social channels and the podcast. Or you have a chance to do a special dedication on the podcast to your favorite excuse me, to your favorite woman. So think about getting out there writing that positive review. Like I said, screenshot it, send it to me and you will be entered. We want 50 by March 8th.
Speaker 1:Speaking of things coming up, it is the end of January, february is right around the corner and, luckily for me, my birthday is in February. Winter can be a hard time. It can be kind of long, kind of gloomy, kind of dark, but if you have a birthday in February it makes things a little cheerier. And this year I really feel like celebrating. I'm going to be 45 on February 16th and I'm really excited about it. I don't know exactly why. Some years I'm not really into my birthday. This year I am. I feel like 45 is a great number to turn. I feel like it's a very powerful number for women. Honestly, I feel like women really come into their own in their 40s and 50s and become powerhouses. Like the 30s, you're still kind of finding yourself, but like man the 40s, you're ready to own it and tell people all about it. So to celebrate my birthday and turning 45, I am going to be sharing on social media and in the newsletter which I'm finally going to start. First you betcha she did. I'm sharing 45 things I love. Some of those things are women-owned businesses, some are products, services that just make my life better. So stay tuned, follow you betcha she did on Instagram, on LinkedIn, on Facebook. Subscribe to our newsletter to get those tips and tricks and kind of get an inside glance of what's going on in you, betcha she did.
Speaker 1:Last but not least, I want to give you a quick preview of the really cool women we have coming up in February. First up in February, I will be interviewing Jess Childs. What's really cool about Jess Childs is, besides being a yoga instructor, which is also awesome she's a yoga instructor at Elevate Yoga Studios, my favorite yoga studio, whoop whoop. She also is the co-owner of a boutique motorcycle shop called Sully's Ride Shop and what's really neat about Jess is that she opened this shop with her son. They co-own it, so we're going to hear more about her story, how she got into motorcycles and why the shop is open Up.
Speaker 1:Next this month I have women's coach, danielle Hoff. She is a super nerd at strategy, at planning. She's a woman after my own heart. To be honest, I like to think I'm a really good organizer and planner, but not nearly to the level that Danielle is. She has done her research over and over again. She talked about how in high school she would just go to Barnes and Nobles, get a cup of coffee and search and read all the business novels. So not business novels, but she would read all of the business books and just devour that information. So she's going to have a lot of great tips and wisdom for everybody to share.
Speaker 1:And, to be honest, I met with her earlier this month and it was a game changer. Before I met with her I don't know what was going on, but I was just kind of ready to burn my whole business down and I'm sure anybody who's had a business out there you've probably come across that at one point or the other, like you're half passionate and then the other time you're half frustrated. But she has turned everything around for me, re-energized me, reminded me of my why, which is, in case you don't know, I'm here because I want to elevate women, I want to shout from the rooftops about the cool things they're doing, I want to promote them and especially shine a light on Midwest women. So that is my passion, and she has reminded me of why I need to do that and why I'm here. And so I'm just thankful for Danielle, so she's coming up. I think you're gonna really like what she has to say.
Speaker 1:Up next in February, I have well-known Wisconsin artist, erica Hunsinger. She is a creative soul, a creative force. She also has her own podcast called In the Act, where she interviews different people from all sorts of artistic fields, not just traditional visual arts about their creative process. She's just a cool woman to know and I think you'll really enjoy hearing what she has to say. And then, last but not least, this month in February I am interviewing a Chicago native named Satandra Hoover, and she is really fascinating and interesting. She's an anthropologist by heart and she's kind of been all over the world, but what she does is she specializes in global social impact and inclusive insurance. Now you might be thinking, what in the heck does that mean? But really what she does is she focuses on micro insurance that is inclusive to different communities around the world to enhance equity, make sure our world is more sustainable. So if you're into social equity, if you're into the green movement, this is really gonna be an episode you're gonna wanna hear about. It's super cool to have a woman in this field and I'm really excited to have her on. So that is our short but powerful preview of things coming on in February.
Speaker 1:Again, don't forget to write that positive review for you, betcha. She did to get entered into the contest. Deadline is March 8th. Send it to me, follow us on Instagram. Start looking for those 45 things that I love that I'm sharing in honor of my 45th birthday. As always, share this podcast with people that you know. Spread the love. Let's lift more women up. We're building this powerful network together. Take care, this will be a special day, shared, monitoring you.
